Are you a good detective? Or, do you just like a good story?
We partnered with Saatchi & Saatchi to create a 4-part original series titled "The Satchel" which was the first scripted show told in Virtual Reality. The Toyota Camry makes an appearance organically integrated as a main character in the storyline. To satisfy Investigation Discovery's audiences and their mystery cravings, we created an interactive video experience where fans would watch each 360º episode in sequential order. We tracked their progress as they completed each of the videos unlocking additional content and behind-the-scenes digital exclusives. By watching each video, users would unlock the next episode in the plot ultimately bringing them closer to solving the mystery of who stole the satchel. I led the creation and production for all of the digital exclusive content, UX & branding, and information architecture for the interactive experience on Investigation Discovery. Below is a commercial that I produced for the program which aired across linear television and digital platforms. We created vertical video assets for mobile formats and social distribution channels to drive awareness across smaller screens.
360º Interactive video EXPERIENCE
We designed and developed a responsive 360º interactive video experience where fans watched episodes from The Satchel in sequential order. As users engaged with video content we tracked their progress as they completed each of the videos. At each stage we recorded their milestones unlocking additional content and behind-the-scenes digital exclusives. Each video would unearth more of the story ultimately bringing them closer to solving the mystery of who stole the satchel. To immerse users, we leveraged the Krpano 360º video player and panoramic imagery across browsers and devices.

social distribution
In addition to traditional link posts, we targeted audiences and extended reach for the program by amplifying the 360º video content across social channels. On Facebook we designed and developed a Canvas experience leveraging the promo commercial in a vertical video format. The Canvas invited fans to watch the video, browse through character bios, and visit the interactive experience right from the facebook mobile app. The video below showcases the user experience.
