Explore the remote, rugged corners of the world and turn no man's land into your land!
We partnered with Toyota's agency Saatchi and Saatchi LA to design and develop a unique social destination for the all-new Toyota Tacoma. The idea behind the campaign was simple, "The Best Places To Play Haven't Been Discovered Yet." We aligned closely with the brand, where we encouraged people to take the path less travelled and to get outside and explore the world around them. Within the experience and through social distribution channels, we reached out to our community of fans to submit their own adventures via the hashtag #GRABLIFE. Leveraging API's from Instagram and Twitter we then aggregated and curated user generated content to display their photos and videos within a map style interface. We developed a customized Wordpress CMS granting internal access to Discovery producers to populate the experience with organic content from Discovery's vast library and then pinpoint each asset to locations around the world. Producers would program video, articles, images, facts, and more to places that had geographical significance. Toyota's own branded videos were incorporated natively highlighting places where the Tacoma had travelled and gone off road!
