Charting A Cleaner Transportation Future.

Shell and WP BrandStudio co-created a groundbreaking multisensory experience where we explored a diverse range of innovations and interventions that are transforming the landscape of sustainable transport. Each broad theme laddered back to a specific Shell initiative or focus. Leveraging personalization, data, infographics, custom illustrations, and eye-catching animation sequences we created a highly unique storytelling experience that details the advancements towards sustainability and Shell’s progress to better our world.

I acted as the creative lead overseeing artist selection, taxonomy structure, storyboarding, the development of the user experience, engineering, and content distribution. The entire piece was visually led broken up into eight different scenes and the art was turned into one giant animation of the story. From there, we adapted all of the animation sequences and 3D elements for use on the web. Several different technologies were used including React, three.JS, WebGL, and Lottie which renders After Effects animations in real-time.

Interactive multisensory EXPERIENCE

With 8 different animated scenes we covered a range of innovations and interventions that are transforming the landscape of sustainable transport with Shell organically woven into the narrative. Highly custom flat illustrations with layering and depth provide a deeper visual experience as engaging story elements appear throughout user-initiated scroll. The piece includes a personalized infographic as well as the ability to skip to each of the individual topics covered.

I produced a short-form Instagram Story crafted specifically for social audiences distributed beyond The Washington Post properties.  The content was amplified across social channels to audiences who met key target demographics.
